The Awards continue to flourish by bringing together Harbutt’s tremendous network of producers and retailers with the Bath & West’s expertise in organising successful competitive Show events, attracting cheese makers from across the UK and Ireland.
The British Cheese Awards is one of the premier exhibitions and competitions for cheese producers in the UK. Its focus is cheeses produced in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with awards across a number of categories culminating in the Supreme Champion.
We’re delighted to announce the British Cheese Awards 2024 took place on the 22nd March at our all new Food & Drink Festival. While the British Cheese Awards took place on Friday 22nd March, the public were then invited into the Food & Drink Festival to enjoy a weekend of Food & Drink with a focus on cheese.
The British Cheese Awards was absent from the calendar in 2020 and 2021 but was included at our Dairy Show in 2022 and we were delighted with the response and support from the cheese making industry.
We are very excited about the Food & Drink Festival, giving a new home to the British Cheese Awards so it can continue to showcase and promote the wide diversity of cheeses produced in the UK and Ireland.
So please make a note in your diary to join us next March.
Thank you to all the cheesemakers and dairy producers who supported the 2024 British Cheese Awards which took place in March 2024, followed by the Awards dinner later in the evening. It was a very successful year with over 500 entries. Congratulations to all the medal and award winners.
